The Association Junior League (AJL) is back for 2019, with the WRTA again looking to enter as many teams as possible in this competition. The AJL pits WRTA selected teams against other regional associations in Melbourne, giving players a fantastic opportunity to play with and against a variety of players.
There are 12&U, 14&U and 16&U sections for boys and girls, as well as 10&U and 18&U mixed sections. Players are placed into an age group based on a player’s age at 31 December of this year. The season goes for 10 weeks (with the exception of 18&U which goes for five). It commences on 18 August and concludes on 1 December. Teams will use a WRTA club as their home base (note that it won’t necessarily be Altona)
Altona Tennis Club would love to have some of our players compete in this year’s competition. For more information please see the WRTA website – interested players should contact Marlene Russell (0419 544 435 or firstname.lastname@example.org) or Steve Whitford (0417 156 595) from the WRTA to register. Entries close on the 1st July.
